Q: What kind of game is Pause Challenge?

A free mobile reaction and timing game for iPhone and Android. Every level is a short clip with a target outline on it, and the whole game is one move: freeze the clip at the moment the subject fills that outline.

Q: How does the scoring work?

Every level carries a window of accepted frames that was measured one frame at a time, with an apex in the middle. Stopping on the apex pays three stars, the frames around it pay two or one, and anything outside the window is a miss.

One tap decides it. A clip runs, an outline waits, and you freeze it at the exact moment the two line up. Most people are three frames out on their first try. Three levels are sitting right here if you think you can do better.

There is a perfect frame in every level, and a handful around it that still count. Hit the perfect one for three stars. Drift toward the edge and you lose a star. Go one frame past it and you lose the round.

What kind of game is Pause Challenge?
